The Registered Nurse - Venous Access Team will utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate nursing care, engaging patients and families through the continuum of care. This role involves monitoring patient conditions, adjusting care plans, mobilizing resources, and collaborating with the care team to influence care outcomes. The nurse will uphold and promote a culture of safety, continuously evaluate patient, team, and unit outcomes, and may administer medications, treatments, and therapies safely and according to clinical protocols. Effective communication, feedback, and conflict resolution are essential, as is fostering team collaboration and appropriate delegation. The role requires pursuing professional development, completing required education, and maintaining certifications, while adhering to ethical decision-making and contributing to integrated, unbiased patient care. Accurate and timely EHR documentation is necessary. The nurse may be required to float to other units, departments, care areas, or facilities within the designated service area to meet patient care needs and must demonstrate knowledge and skills appropriate to the age of the patients served, including understanding growth and development principles.
