The Vascular Access Team performs daily central line assessments (labeling, needless connector changes, prompt removal of unnecessary lines, and compliance with Curos usage) and performs central line dressing changes. You will be responsible for providing education to patients and family members and communicating vascular access needs to patients and the health care team. We have an all RN team that covers all inpatients and outpatients from 7am to 7pm seven days per week. In this position, you will be an important member of the patient care team. The Registered Nurse (RN) is accountable for management and delivery of patient care to assigned patients in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, and within the scope of practice delineated in the New York State Nurse Practice Act. Provides direct patient care, delegates/assigns responsibility as appropriate to others, and serves as leader of the interdisciplinary team in collaboration with and under the direction of the attending physician. The patient care team identifies desired outcomes for each patient based on assessment data, and plan of care and completes ongoing assessments to facilitative achievement of desired outcomes.
