Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children has been providing compassionate care to the children, teenagers, and young adults of Central Florida for over 30 years. It is a specialized pediatric care facility with 156 licensed beds, including the Bert Martin’s Champions for Children Emergency Department & Trauma Center. The hospital is recognized for its state-of-the-art pediatric services, a comprehensive staff of pediatric subspecialty physicians, and a nursing team with "Magnet" recognition for excellence. It has also received national recognition from U.S. News & World Report as a "Best Children’s Hospitals" for 12 consecutive years and was included in the IBM Watson Health 100 Top Hospitals® list for 2021. The APMC Vascular Access team comprises Registered Nurses with specialized training in Ultrasound-guided placement of PICC lines, Midlines, Peripheral IVs, and phlebotomy, using sterile and aseptic techniques. The patient population ranges from infants to geriatric patients, with consultations for patients at Winnie Palmer and Arnold Palmer Hospitals. The Vascular Access RN also serves as a resource for bedside RNs, collaborates with physicians to ensure appropriate access is provided, and monitors PICC lines for proper function. Team members are encouraged to obtain Vascular Access Board Certification within one year of hire. Arnold Palmer Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to administer patient care in a hospital or inpatient/observation setting where acute care patients receive active treatment for injuries, illnesses, medical conditions, or post-intervention assessments.
