People who aspire to excellence every day. About the Role: We are currently seeking dedicated Vascular Access Clinical Nurse to join our Vascular Access team at IU Health Fishers. In this vital role, you’ll support the hospital through vascular access responsibilities.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3-5 yrs of Vascular Access experience required
• ASN required; BSN preferred
• Current Indiana RN license
• Graduate of a nationally accredited nursing program
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA required
• Candidates who have not graduated from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they possess more than two years of acute care experience. Such exceptions are subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO).

Responsibilities

• Maintain a sterile field and adhere to infection control protocols
• Placement of Ultrasound guided IVs, PICCs
• Helping with difficult access or blood draws
• Monitor and Vascular access inventory and supplies.
• Document procedures accurately and in accordance with hospital policy.
• Collaborate with the charge & bedside nurses to ensure optimal patient care.
• Provide compassionate support to patients and their families.
