About The Position

Under the direction of the Medical Director, Provider, Practice Manager/Supervisor and/or Service Line Director, this role coordinates general office activities and performs direct clinical care in a courteous, caring, and respectful manner. The Registered Nurse is the point person for questions or concerns as it relates to patient intake, testing, ordering, medical supplies, and other clinical responsibilities. This role requires the ability to create, maintain, and support a high-functioning team, and establish and foster cooperative working relationships with staff and management. The nurse will document accurately and effectively in the EMR system according to licensure and VMG policies and procedures. Demonstrates behavior that is courteous, caring, respectful, and compassionate always. Demonstrates ability to listen and respond in a non-judgmental manner, with clear expectations. Requirements

Completion of formal coursework equivalent to a minimum of an associate degree in nursing
Current and unrestricted New Jersey RN license
Current American Heart Association BLS certification
Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience in an ambulatory care setting preferred
Medical terminology
Computer and keyboard skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Proficiency in the use of an EMR preferred
Proven ability to manage a changing work environment as a result of changing patient needs, including working with patients with acute, chronic, and complex disease processes
Strong interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills to effectively interact with patients, family members, providers, visitors, and co-workers at all levels of the organization

Specialty specific certification a plus
