At the IU Health Urology Ambulatory Clinic, RNs provide specialized, patient-centered care in a supportive outpatient setting on a day shift PRN schedule (clinic hours 8:00am–5:00pm). RNs play a vital role in patient triage, medication refills, urologic procedures, and DME coordination while supporting 4 surgeons (with a 5th joining next year) and 6 Advanced Practice Providers (3 PAs and 3 NPs). Requirements

  • Minimum of one year of RN experience.
  • Associates of Nursing (ASN) required.
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
  • Graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program (exceptions may apply with >2 years experience, subject to CNO approval).
  • Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
  • Awareness and understanding of legal implications of patient care activities and performance as a Registered Nurse.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty.
  • May require ability to assess patients without face-to-face interaction.

Responsibilities
