About The Position

The Registered Nurse Health Services is a member of the multidisciplinary team working in collaboration with the physician. The RN utilizes the care process consistent with their license or certification including initiation of interventions within individual scope of practice. The RN is also responsible for overseeing any necessary coordination of the multidisciplinary plan of care and provides for its consistency with the medical treatment plan. The patient care process includes: Assessment, Planning, Intervention, and Evaluation. The Registered Nurse Health Services assumes responsibility for continued professional and personal growth. This position supports organizational goals by providing quality customer service, participating in performance improvement efforts and demonstrating a commitment to teamwork and cooperation.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an Accredited school of Nursing required.
  • Current Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey.
  • BLSHCP required.
  • ACLS is not required for Urgent Care Settings.
  • 3-5 years clinical experience including pediatric experience required.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability.
  • Proficiency in Clinical Applications preferred at time of hire; incumbents within position will be trained appropriately and then skill will be required for this position within 30-60 days from date of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor Degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Valid New Jersey Drivers license preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Utilizes the care process consistent with their license or certification including initiation of interventions within individual scope of practice.
  • Oversees any necessary coordination of the multidisciplinary plan of care and provides for its consistency with the medical treatment plan.
  • Performs assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation as part of the patient care process.
  • Identifies and prioritizes patient problems relative to biophysical, psychological, environmental, self-care, educational and social status.
  • Identifies goals consistent with the problem to provide direction for patient care and health promotion.
  • Provides education consistent with the identified problem and associated goals to promote patient empowerment.
  • Assumes responsibility for continued professional and personal growth.
  • Supports organizational goals by providing quality customer service, participating in performance improvement efforts and demonstrating a commitment to teamwork and cooperation.
