The Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional nursing care across the lifespan in accordance with organizational standards, policies, and evidence-based practice. The RN utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while delivering high-quality, culturally sensitive, and patient-centered services. The RN collaborates with providers and interdisciplinary teams to promote optimal patient outcomes, safety, and positive patient experience. The Urgent Care Registered Nurse provides rapid assessment, triage, and treatment of patients with non life threatening illnesses and injuries across the lifespan. This role manages a high volume of walk in and scheduled visits, performs focused assessments, administers medications and treatments, supports minor procedures, and delivers patient education and discharge instructions. The Urgent Care RN collaborates with providers and ancillary staff to ensure safe, efficient patient flow, timely escalation of higher acuity conditions, and accurate documentation. Must be competent in the use of all equipment in the specialty. On call may be required.
