About The Position
Sentara Lake Ridge is hiring a Full Time/Night Shift Registered Nurse Unit Coordinator for its Freestanding Emergency Department. This role involves providing clinical leadership for nursing care delivery, leading safety and quality initiatives, simplifying workflow, contributing to staff development, increasing staff satisfaction, and promoting excellent customer service. Sentara Lake Ridge is a state-of-the-art outpatient campus known for its high patient satisfaction rankings.
Requirements
- RN-Bachelor’s Degree
- Virginia or Compact Multi-state RN (Registered Nurse) license in good standing.
- 18 months nursing experience required.
- BSN required; Master degree preferred, if the graduate degree is not in nursing then the BSN is required.
- BLS within 90 days of hire
Nice To Haves
- RN-Master’s Degree
- ACLS & PALS or ENPC within one (1) year of hire
- 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience
Responsibilities
- Demonstrates proficiency in nursing practice for assigned specialty area.
- Provides clinical leadership for the delivery of nursing care in a department.
- Under the direction of the department manager leads safety and quality initiatives.
- Focuses on and simplifies workflow.
- Contributes to the development of staff.
- Increase staff satisfaction.
- Promotes excellent (Gold Standard) customer service.
