About The Position

SENTARA ALBEMARLE MEDICAL CENTER is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Traveler for a 14-week temporary night shift position in Elizabeth City, NC. This is a Hospital Float role with a pay rate of $75/hr. The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for performing a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. The standards of practice (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care- teaching and health promotion and evaluation) along with the standards of professional performance (ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice /nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health) encompass the actions and foundation of professional nursing. The RN possesses clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas and meets and maintains any requirements defined by a specific specialty.

Requirements

  • 2 or more years of RECENT RN bedside experience in Medical Telemetry and IMCU Stepdown.
  • RN Degree - ADN, BSN or MSN.
  • Valid RN License to practice in Virginia.
  • Current ACLS, BLS, NIHSS.
  • EPIC documentation system experience required.
