About The Position

Passport Health is North America's largest travel medicine and immunization provider, with 300+ clinics across the U.S. and Canada. This role is not a traditional nursing role and offers autonomy, specialized expertise, and genuine one-on-one patient connection. Most nurses work independently, managing their day by seeing clients and providing the best experience possible, supported by a network of clinical leadership. Travel medicine is a specialty where nurses develop deep expertise in vaccine-preventable diseases, international health risks, and pre-travel health planning. Every client interaction is a true consultation.

Requirements

  • Active RN license in good standing
  • Compact (multistate) RN licensure accepted - you must legally reside in the state where you are licensed and providing care
  • 3+ years of clinical nursing experience
  • Comfortable working independently - you won't always have backup in the clinic
  • Strong patient communication and education skills
  • Reliable access to a personal computer (training systems require desktop or laptop)
  • Proficiency with Google Suite (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Meet)
  • Current First Aid/CPR certification
  • Ability to lift and transport vaccine inventory as needed (up to 25 lbs)

  • Travel medicine background a plus, not required
  • Adaptable - comfortable shifting gears between high-volume and consultative modes
  • Want the range of both clinic types without switching locations
  • Are reliable for weekend coverage and flexible with scheduling
  • Attention to detail and comfort with regulated documentation workflows is essential for immigration medical services.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth travel health consultations and educate clients on destination-specific risks
  • Administer vaccines per standing orders and monitor for adverse reactions
  • Recommend and promote travel health products and medications as clinically appropriate
  • Manage clinic setup, inventory, and compliance with safety and documentation protocols
  • Support onsite corporate wellness or vaccine clinic events as needed
  • Complete ongoing travel medicine training
  • Performing immigration physicals and maintaining strict USCIS documentation compliance is a required part of the role at specific locations.
