For new graduate nurses, opportunities are available through the Nurse Residency Program. This role is eligible for TN sponsorship, requiring state licensure and VisaScreen or equivalent certification.

Requirements

  • Graduate of a baccalaureate Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) accredited nursing program.
  • Minimum 1 year of clinical RN experience required.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to unpredictable situations within the patient care setting.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability and interpersonal effectiveness.
  • Ability to work both autonomously and in a team environment.
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, problem solving, and computer skills required.
  • Current RN license by applicable state requirements.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) must be valid for 90 days post start date; acceptable certifications include: American Heart Association (AHA)/Heartcode® BLS, Military Training Network, Red Cross (CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and Health Care Providers).

Nice To Haves

  • 3 years of clinical RN experience preferred.
  • Coordinators in Transplant must obtain either Certified Clinical Transplant Coordinator (CCTC) or Certified Clinical Transplant Nurse (CCTN) credential within three years of hire.
  • Coordinators in Bone Marrow Transplant must obtain Adult or Pediatric Oncology Certification (OCN or CPHON), or Bone Marrow Transplant Certified Nurse (BMTCN) credential within three years of hire.
  • Recertification must be maintained for the duration of the employee’s tenure in the transplant position.
  • Additional specialty certification/training may be required by work area.
  • Internal applicants are required to attach their three most recent performance appraisals.

Responsibilities

  • Coordination of all aspects of care for the transplant patient population.
  • Assessment and planning of care in collaboration with the patient, caregiver, and multidisciplinary healthcare team to meet needs across the care continuum.
  • Assessment of data reflective of the patient's status and interpretation of information relative to the patient's age-specific needs.
  • Providing patient and family education on a consistent basis.
  • Providing leadership through community involvement, committee work, and participation in quality improvement and research.
