About The Position

This role is for a Registered Nurse in the Transfer Center, responsible for collaborating with nursing staff and multidisciplinary team members to place patients in appropriate levels of care. The nurse will act as a liaison between consultants and specialty consultants, stay informed of patient changes and communicate their impact to admitting physicians, and develop/maintain relationships with referral sources and admission decision makers. Maintaining documentation and communication standards for legal, medical, statistical, and process improvement purposes is also a key aspect of this role.

Requirements

Registered Nurse obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Cross accepted.
Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
Bachelors in Nursing
3+ years bedside nursing experience
2+ years in Critical Care, ICU or Emergency Department (ED) experience, charge nurse or some type of leadership

Responsibilities
