About The Position

This is a part-time position for a Registered Nurse in The Birthing Suite at Monadnock Community Hospital, requiring 24 hours per week. The role is on the 8-bed LDRP unit, which delivers over 350 babies annually. The nurse will be cross-trained in all aspects of obstetrical care and will work in a collaborative team environment with an OB/GYN and pediatric group. Requirements

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Current NH RN licensure.
Maintenance of confidential information.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and equipment.
Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by New Hampshire Board of Nursing.
Hold a valid nursing degree from an accredited institution and maintain an active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Experience as a Registered Nurse, preferably in a hospital or acute care setting.
Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team, fostering a supportive and cooperative work environment.

Previous OB nursing experience is strongly preferred.
Baccalaureate in nursing strongly preferred.
Certification in specialty strongly preferred.
NRP and STABLE certifications required.

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing interventions to ensure optimal outcomes.
Collaborate with physicians, fellow nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
Maintain accurate and detailed medical records of patients' conditions, treatments, and progress. Report any changes or concerns promptly to the appropriate team members.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to hospital policies and protocols.
Educate patients and their families on disease management, treatment options, and preventive measures to promote overall wellness.
Offer emotional support and advocate for patients' rights, ensuring they receive compassionate and respectful care.
Comply with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines to maintain a safe and ethical work environment.
Stay updated on medical advancements, best practices, and industry standards through ongoing professional development activities.
