About The Position

This role involves continuous observation and analysis of ECG monitor screens and cardiac rhythms. The Registered Nurse will assess, document, and report changes in patient conditions, responding promptly to alarms and dysrhythmias. Responsibilities include the safe administration of prescribed medications, IV fluids, and treatments to adult patients. The nurse will provide expert care for patients with various conditions such as COPD, CHF, diabetes, stroke rule-outs, syncope, and those recovering from cardiac events. Collaboration with physicians, monitor technicians, and other healthcare team members is essential for escalating concerns and executing care plans. Additionally, the role includes educating patients and their families regarding health conditions, medications, lifestyle changes, and post-discharge care.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program (RN Diploma, ADN, BSN, or MSN).
  • Valid, unencumbered RN license to work in the State of Virginia.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (AHA).
  • Strong clinical judgment, keen attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in high-pressure environments.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of 18 months of acute care RN experience is highly preferred.
  • New graduates with an arrhythmia certification will be considered and are welcome to apply.
