About The Position

The Registered Nurse has the responsibility and accountability for direct comprehensive nursing care for the patient from admission to discharge. This role involves reviewing and documenting care provided, outcomes of care, and evaluations of care, while adhering to professional standards. The nurse applies evidence, professional standards, and best practice to bedside caregiving through critical thinking, experiential evidence, and evidence-based practices. They must demonstrate the ability to prioritize care based on changing patient assessments and needs, and maintain ongoing communication with physicians and other hospital departments.

Requirements

Associate of Science in Nursing (ADN) degree from an accredited institution.
Current unrestricted licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Kentucky required.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required within 6 months of hire.
Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days of hire.
Must obtain Crisis Prevention within 6 months of hire.

Nice To Haves

Recent experience in specialty preferred.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from an accredited institution.
