About The Position
We are seeking an experienced Telemetry Stepdown RN to provide high-acuity cardiac care in a fast-paced stepdown environment. The RN will manage telemetry patients, cardiac drips, post-procedural recoveries, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure exceptional patient outcomes.
Requirements
- Active Ohio RN License or Compact RN License.
- Current BLS and ACLS Certifications.
- ECG/EKG Rhythm Interpretation Course completion.
- Minimum 2 years of recent Stepdown, PCU, or Telemetry experience.
- Experience with cardiac drips and high-acuity cardiac patients required.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to cardiac stepdown and telemetry patients.
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and telemetry data.
- Administer and titrate cardiac medications and vasoactive drips.
- Care for patients recovering from cardiac, vascular, and electrophysiology procedures.
- Assist with conscious sedation procedures and cardioversions.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions.
- Document assessments and interventions accurately in the EMR.
- Float to related stepdown units as needed.
