Registered Nurse, Telemetry/PCU
About The Position
This position provides general nursing care to patients in the hospital, including effectively planning and communicating patient and family education. The role involves participation in unit-based educational activities and accurate, timely documentation consistent with practice and hospital policy. The nurse will explain procedures and treatments to patients to ensure cooperation, understanding, and comprehension, and will cross-train in the PCU as department needs dictate. Community Memorial Health System, established in 2005, comprises Community Memorial Hospital in Ventura and Ojai Valley Community Hospital, along with a network of primary and specialty care health centers across west Ventura County. Requirements
- Current CA RN License
- Current BLS Certification
- Current ACLS Certification
- Six (6) months of recent full-time acute care experience in an acute care hospital or equivalent
- Successful completion of Stroke/Sepsis Education competency within 6 months of hire
Nice To Haves
- Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN)
- One (1) or more years previous Medical Surgical or Telemetry experience
- Certification for Progressive Care Nurse (PCCN)
- Knowledge of Det Norske Veritas (DNV)
