About The Position
Mobile Health Team Inc. is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse - Telemetry Med / Surg for a 13-week travel assignment in Ida Grove. This is a full-time day shift position to cover for leaves of absence. The role involves continuous tracking of heart performance using EKG machines, analyzing results, recording data, overseeing stress tests, and delivering emergency medical care. The nurse will also administer medications, educate patients on lifestyle changes and treatments, and oversee telemetry technicians and other staff.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of previous RN experience
- ACLS certification
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Effective team skills including interaction, support, and respect
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
- Willingness to participate in continuing education and training programs
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Excellent communication skills, professionalism, and reliability
- Ability to learn and apply basic computer skills including locating and opening documents, completing forms, opening and sending e-mail messages
- Pass a drug screen and background check
- Complete additional facility onboarding forms as assigned

- Experience with Cerner EMR system
Responsibilities
- Using electrocardiogram (EKG) machines to continuously track heart performance
- Analyzing EKG results to establish baselines and spot abnormalities
- Recording EKG results to keep patient information accurate
- Overseeing stress tests to assess patients’ heart function
- Delivering emergency medical care when patients suffer heart attacks or other life-threatening problems
- Overseeing and coordinating the activities of telemetry technicians and other staff in their units
- Administering medications and other treatments ordered by physicians
- Educating patients on lifestyle changes and ongoing treatments prior to discharge from the hospital
