About The Position

Supports nursing leadership by overseeing daily operations, staff development, patient satisfaction, and quality improvement initiatives within the department. Partners with clinical leaders to ensure safe, high-quality patient care, support staff growth, maintain regulatory standards, and promote service excellence and operational efficiency.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
BSN or upon hire BSN completion agreement for enrollment in an accredited BSN Completion Program.
If hired prior to 1-1-14 in Winnebago County and prior to 9-1-15 in Rock, Walworth and McHenry Counties an ADN only is required.
Must have a minimum of 3 to 4 years of progressively responsible hospital nursing experience.
Licensed as an RN in the State of practice.
Approved CPR or BLS certification required within 90 days.
Excellent interpersonal/communication and conflict resolution skills.
Genuine concern for people.
Strong verbal communication skills.
Adept listener with the ability to interpret concerns.
Intermediate computer knowledge is required.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
