About The Position

This position is for a Registered Nurse Team Lead in the Emergency Department, specifically for night shifts. The role requires a Baccalaureate degree in nursing, at least one year of RN experience in an applicable care setting, and experience working in a team environment. The ideal candidate will be able to work autonomously, direct work and patient flow for efficiency, demonstrate leadership, effective communication, and critical thinking skills, and adapt to unpredictable situations. Computer skills are required, with a preference for experience with electronic medical record systems. Proficiency in the work unit specialty area is also preferred. The role involves flexible hours, including days, evenings, nights, holidays, weekends, and on-call duties. Current RN licensure and Basic Life Support (BLS) competency are mandatory, with specific requirements varying by state (Arizona, Florida, Midwest).

Requirements

  • Graduate of a Baccalaureate degree in a nursing program
  • One year of RN experience in an applicable care setting
  • Experience working in a team environment
  • Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment, making decisions and directing work and patient flow to achieve maximum work unit efficiency
  • Demonstrated leadership, effective communicator, and excellent critical thinking skills
  • Ability to adapt to unpredictable situations within the work setting
  • Computer skills required
  • Ability to work flexible hours, which may include days, evenings, nights, holidays, and weekends and on-call
  • Current RN licensure by applicable state requirements
  • Maintains Basic Life Support (BLS) competency (Arizona and Florida)
  • Maintains current Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers from one of the following programs: American Heart Association or American Red Cross (Midwest)
  • Additional state licensure(s) and/or specialty certification/training as required by the work area
