About The Position
Mater Hospital Springfield Surgical Department is seeking experienced, motivated and enthusiastic Registered Nurses. Be part of our team with a range of opportunities available, including permanent full time, part time and maximum-term roles. Based at our Springfield campus, these roles will be part of a landmark moment in Queensland healthcare at Mater Hospital Springfield — opening early 2026. As Mater’s first new public hospital in over 60 years, this state of the art facility will meet the needs of the growing Greater Springfield region. With a mix of public and private beds across ICU, maternity, emergency and medical, surgical services, it’s set to care for over 200,000 patients annually. Salary range: $44.06 - $56.52 per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
Requirements
- AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Minimum 12 months postgraduate experience in an Surgical setting
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Outstanding communication and time management skills
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in emergency nursing would be highly regarded
Responsibilities
- Achieving optimal patient outcomes throughout the patient journey and continuum of care
- Demonstrating exceptional clinical expertise and knowledge of procedures and the management of patients seeking outstanding care
- Implementing strategies to ensure that quality and risk management are integrated into service provision
- Working collaboratively with the nursing team to provide exceptional care every time
- Maintaining current knowledge and skills to ensure continued professional growth
