About The Position

This position is based within Jefferson Regional Surgical Services. The Registered Nurse is responsible for the quality of care for an assigned caseload of patients in the operating room. This includes delegating duties appropriately and directing staff in the delivery of care, assuring responsibility for the appropriate utilization of resources, collaborating with medical staff and others in the provision of care, and demonstrating positive interpersonal relationships with others in communication and problem resolution.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Technical Diploma in Nursing required
  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing program
  • Current valid Arkansas Registered Nurse Licensure
  • BLS/CPR required prior to patient care
  • Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure, with excellent critical thinking and decision making skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
  • Basic proficiency in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care
  • Adequate verbal and written communication skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare teams
  • Basic flexibility to adapt to changes in patient conditions and unit priorities

Nice To Haves

  • Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred
  • ACLS and PALS certification required within 1 year of hire
  • Certified Perioperative Nurse (CNOR) preferred
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed for on-call shifts
  • Extensive experience in a variety of surgical specialties
  • Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems
  • Leadership experience or demonstrated ability to mentor and train other staff members
  • 2+ years of experience in perioperative nursing
