Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Indiana or another compact licensure state.
Nice To Haves
- BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing).
- Previous surgery or perioperative nursing experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures in a women’s health-focused setting.
- Assist with pre-operative preparation, including patient assessment, verification of orders, and education.
- Support intraoperative and immediate post-operative care as needed.
- Monitor patient status and respond to changes using sound clinical judgment and evidence-based practice.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical teams to ensure safe and efficient care delivery.
- Educate patients and families regarding procedures, recovery expectations, and discharge instructions.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and interventions.
- Flex into varying assignments and procedural areas based on department needs.
