About The Position
The Staff Pad is partnering with a healthcare organization in Manchester, TN, to hire experienced Registered Nurses for their Surgical Services team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients of all ages throughout their surgical journey. You will collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the interdisciplinary care team to ensure safe and efficient surgical services, taking on various roles such as circulating nurse, scrub nurse, post-anesthesia care nurse, or other perioperative support functions as needed.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Active Tennessee Registered Nurse (RN) license or eligibility for licensure
- Current BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required or ability to obtain within the required timeframe
Nice To Haves
- PALS certification preferred or required based on department needs
- Previous perioperative or operating room experience preferred
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
- Knowledge of sterile technique, infection prevention, and perioperative nursing practices
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced surgical environment
Responsibilities
- Deliver nursing care throughout the preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases
- Assess, monitor, and document patient condition before, during, and after surgery
- Prepare patients, equipment, and the operating room for surgical procedures
- Serve as a circulating nurse, scrub nurse, or post-anesthesia care nurse as assigned
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with physician orders
- Maintain a safe, sterile, and efficient surgical environment
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the interdisciplinary care team
- Monitor patient recovery and provide education to patients and families
- Respond to changes in patient condition and surgical emergencies
- Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with safety, regulatory, and infection prevention standards
