About The Position
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Surgery team. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth and safe execution of surgical procedures. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating room circulating nursing and a commitment to patient safety and team collaboration.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of Surgery and Operating Room Circulating RN experience – required
- Current North Carolina RN license or Compact RN license with North Carolina endorsement – required
- Strong knowledge of perioperative and operating room nursing practices.
- Direct Operating Room Circulating RN experience.
Nice To Haves
- Experience primarily limited to Pre-Op, Post-Op, Endoscopy/GI, or PACU cannot be considered for this position.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the circulating nurse during surgical procedures.
- Prepare the operating room and ensure required equipment, instruments, and supplies are available.
- Verify patient identity, surgical site, consent, and required documentation.
- Assist with patient positioning and maintain patient safety throughout surgical procedures.
- Coordinate communication between surgeons, anesthesia providers, scrub staff, and other members of the surgical team.
