About The Position

This role focuses on delivering high-quality patient care within an ambulatory surgery setting. The Registered Nurse will be responsible for addressing patients' basic human needs, including safety, physical, psychological, and social well-being. The position emphasizes honoring the worth of individuals through unconditional acceptance, engaging families and caregivers in healthcare, and understanding patients' unique perspectives. Mutual problem-solving, attentive reassurance, an encouraging manner, and creating a healing environment characterized by privacy, safety, confidentiality, and tranquility are key aspects of this role. Texas Health Plano is a 386-bed, full-service hospital serving North Texas, specializing in various medical fields including emergency medicine, trauma, cardiology, neurosurgery, orthopedics, women's services, behavioral health, and advanced surgical services. It is a Level II Trauma Facility with Level IV NICU and Level IV Maternal facility designations, and a DNV-certified Comprehensive Stroke Program. The hospital is a four-time Magnet-designated facility with a DNV-certified Comprehensive Stroke Program and an AACN Beacon Gold adult intensive care unit.

Requirements

  • Nursing Diploma in Nursing required or Associate’s degree in nursing required or Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred
  • Other – CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency required
  • 1 year of experience a Registered Nurse or completion of an RN residency program required
  • RN – Registered Nurse upon hire required
  • BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly upon hire required
  • A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred
  • 2 years’ experience in Perioperative setting strongly preferred
  • ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 days of hire required
