About The Position

This role involves leading and inspiring a care team by directing daily clinical activities and coordinating interdisciplinary staff to ensure the seamless delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care. The supervisor will optimize daily shift operations by assessing real-time patient needs and strategically distributing assignments to ensure safe, population-appropriate care. They will empower staff through mindful delegation, assigning clinical duties based on skill sets and in alignment with the State Nurse Practice Act. The role also includes driving clinical excellence and growth by providing immediate, constructive coaching, tracking performance trends, and collaborating with leadership on team development or corrective actions. Additionally, the supervisor will shape the future of the unit by actively participating in interviews and providing strategic hiring recommendations.

Requirements

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Cross accepted.
  • Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing required.
  • Required professional licensure/certification AND 1 year of cumulative job specific experience required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) accompanied by a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with a background in multi-specialty care.
  • Prior experience in an outpatient oncology infusion setting, alongside a proven track record in a leadership capacity (e.g., charge nurse or preceptor).
