About The Position

Seeking an RN with a strong cardiac background for a full-time position in the Stress Lab at Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center. This role involves providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care using the nursing process, evidence-based practice, and clinical decision-making to ensure safe and therapeutic care. The position is part of an inpatient/outpatient department that closes at 1600, with a hard stop for outpatient flow daily, eliminating the need for shift-to-shift reports. The nurse will be assigned to 3-4 weekday call shifts per month and typically 2 weekend shifts per month, with options for exchange days. Call shifts end at 2100. Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center is a large quaternary acute care hospital known for its advanced oncology, cardiovascular, and neurology therapies, and has a strong history of Nursing professional governance and Magnet Recognition.

Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing.
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association.
  • ACLS certification.
  • PALS certification.
  • 1-2 years of nursing experience in Med Surg, ICU, or ED.
