About The Position
We are seeking a Registered Nurse with a minimum of 18 months of recent Neuro ICU/Neuro Stepdown experience. The ideal candidate will have at least 18 months of permanent experience in the specialty they are applying for prior to any travel assignments. This role requires AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications. Familiarity with EVD's, central lines, stroke, and seizure patients is essential. An acceptable score on the ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment, completed during orientation, is also required. The traveler must work at least every other holiday.
Requirements
- Minimum of 18 months recent Neuro ICU/Neuro Stepdown experience.
- Minimum of 18 months permanent experience in the specialty prior to travel assignments.
- AHA BLS required.
- AHA ACLS required.
- NIHSS required.
- Permanent Ohio License or Compact State License in hand.
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with EVD's.
- Familiarity with central lines.
- Experience with stroke patients.
- Experience with seizure patients.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Neuro ICU/Neuro Stepdown setting.
- Manage patients with EVDs, central lines, stroke, and seizure conditions.
- Perform ECG rhythm recognition.
- Administer medications safely.
- Work every other holiday as required.
