About The Position

Plans and implements professional nursing care for patients in accordance with hospital policies. Assumes charge nurse responsibilities as assigned. Our patients include both inpatient and outpatient adults and geriatric. Our Care team consists of a team that provides safe quality care: Registered Nurses, Certified Nurse Assistants, RN Case Managers, Medical Providers, Nurse Manager, Nurse Educator. Our PCM and Charge Nurses are available to support our clinical needs with access to education, resources, guidelines, and protocols. Our electronic medical record is EPIC. We operate 12-hour shifts, Monday through Sunday (24/7), including after hour nights, weekend, and holiday staffing. Shift start time are 0638/1838 ad end date of 0715/1915. New Grads and Experience Nurses are welcome for application and interview. Staffing Ratio consists of 1:4 Nurse to Patient. Scheduling is a Every Other Weekend Requirement with Holiday Group Rotation Annually.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree in Nursing required
  • Current licensure in North Carolina as a Registered Nurse or Compact state licensure
  • 1 year nursing
  • Demonstrates positive interpersonal skills
  • Verbal and written skills required
  • Demonstrates effective organizational and leadership skills
  • Has knowledge of the age-specific physiological and psychosocial, developmental and spiritual needs of the patients typically served
  • Speech and auditory acuity for communication of patient needs
  • Visual acuity for observation of patients
  • Much standing, walking, bending, and lifting
  • May involve skin, eye, mucous membrane, or parenteral contact with blood or other potentially infectious material
  • Must be able to lift 35 pounds
  • RN - Board Of Nursing
