This position involves observing and assessing the health status of patients through physical assessment, examination, and interviews. The Registered Nurse will initiate treatments, administer medications and therapeutic measures as prescribed, and meticulously record patient data. Responsibilities include the independent management of patients undergoing local anesthesia and IV sedation, providing specialized care to meet diverse patient needs, and operating specialized equipment. The role requires collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to assess, plan, and implement patient care, utilizing Standards of Care to develop and revise nursing plans. The nurse will also monitor supplies for sterility, participate in hospital committees related to patient care, and contribute to continuing education initiatives. This position also involves identifying issues affecting program planning and development, participating in nursing studies and performance improvement programs, and completing mandatory CMS training. The nurse may be assigned to any nursing unit as appropriate and will perform other duties as assigned.
