About The Position

Join our Specialty Clinic team! We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced medical professional to provide comprehensive nursing care to patients across a variety of medical specialties in an outpatient setting. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively.

Requirements

• Current, unencumbered RN license from Utah or a compact state.
• Knowledge of infection control principles, patient safety techniques, and prevention of adverse reactions to medications/treatments.
• Demonstrated critical thinking skills with the ability to remain effective in rapidly changing circumstances.
• Excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing, with providers, co-workers, patients, and families.
• High level of self-motivation and ability to work independently as well as part of a small team.
• Knowledge of computer systems, data entry, and electronic medical records.
• Able to lift/move up to 50 lbs. without assistance and lift/move weights beyond 50 lbs. with assistance.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Reliable and punctual with work schedule.
• Flexibility to accept additional duties as assigned.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in an outpatient setting preferred (e.g., Family Practice, Surgical Center, GYN).

Responsibilities

• Provide professional care to patients in the clinic/outpatient setting in compliance with professional practice standards.
• Triage incoming patient calls, assess needs, and provide appropriate advice based on scope of practice and licensure.
• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care needs, including taking patient histories, performing screenings, and administering vaccinations and medications.
• Assist healthcare providers with procedures and examinations.
• Document patient care in the healthcare record according to established standards.
• Ensure professional effectiveness through ongoing education and professional development.
• Participate in developing and maintaining established policies, procedures, quality improvement, safety, and infection prevention programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
