About The Position

This is a travel position for a Registered Nurse in the SICU (Surgical Intensive Care Unit). The shift is a day shift, requiring 36 hours per week, specifically every Saturday and Sunday day shift, plus one additional day each week. The role involves floating and being on call. Documentation is to be done in Epic, and medication systems used include Pyxis, Accudose, and Omnicell. Communication is expected to follow the SBAR format. Parking options are available for travelers.

Requirements

• 2 years of recent ICU experience.
• BLS required.
• ACLS required.
• NIH Required.
• Ohio license required.
• First-time travelers accepted.

Nice To Haves

• Surgical ICU experience preferred.
• Trauma ICU experience preferred.
• Burn ICU experience preferred.
• Transplant ICU experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in the SICU.
• Float to other units as required.
• Be on call.
• Document patient care in Epic.
• Administer medications using Pyxis, Accudose, or Omnicell.
• Communicate using SBAR.
