Registered Nurse - Short Stay Unit - Overnight Shift (PRN), ORA ASC
About The Position
In this position, you'll actively be providing high-quality care to patients recovering from orthopedic surgical procedures. You will be responsible for patient assessments, monitoring post-operative recovery, administering medications, providing education and discharge instructions, and collaborating closely with our multidisciplinary team to ensure safe and seamless transitions of care. This is a hands-on role responsible for making our patients as comfortable as possible during their recovery time in our surgery center. ORA holds all of our staff members accountable for providing high-level care, maintaining patient confidentiality, and complying with all HIPAA rules and regulations. As a member of our ASC team, you're actively involved in hands-on care that makes a significant difference in the lives of our patients.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Active RN license in Iowa
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- Strong ability to multitask and prioritize appropriately
- Ability to effectively communicate and interact with patients and their families
