About The Position
Community Health Network is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for their Short Stay - Observation unit at Community Hospital East. This role is part of a professional procedural care team responsible for post-operative surgical care, some pre-procedural care, overflow inpatient Med/Surg patients for observation, and some infusion patients. The RN will collaborate with the procedural care team to provide exceptional care and compassion to patients and their families.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (NLN, CCNE, ACEN, or NLN CNEA) OR three years of related professional nursing experience.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid license to practice in the state of Indiana (Nurse Licensure Compact).
- Strong written, verbal, and nonverbal interpersonal and professional communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize, organize, and multi-task.
- Ability to take direction well and be self-directed and motivated.
- High degree of responsibility and responsiveness.
- 1 year of Progressive Care experience required.
Responsibilities
- Provide post-operative surgical care.
- Provide some pre-procedural care.
- Manage overflow inpatient Med/Surg patients for observation.
- Administer infusions.
- Collaborate with the procedural care team to provide exceptional care and compassion.
