This position is part of the departmental leadership team that provides clinical supervision on a shift basis. Responsibilities include coordination and assignment of patient care, functioning as a unit patient flow coordinator to facilitate admissions, discharges, and transfers. The role also involves coordinating unit staffing for the next shift with the Director/Clinical Manager, Coordinator, and/or House Officer. Additionally, the position serves as a clinical and leadership resource and role model for the staff, and provides supervisory input into department staff evaluations and performance reviews. The incumbent will complete established competencies for the position within the designated introductory period and perform other related duties as assigned.
