About The Position

Under general supervision, plans, directs, and evaluates total nursing care and functions within the organization, in accordance with established philosophy. Provides the best possible nursing care by planning, organizing, and directing the nursing functions of patients on the unit. Initiates and implements patient education and care plan. Assesses, critically thinks, rapidly recognizes and responds to clinical changes. Makes nursing assignments appropriate to the skill level of employees. Maintains acceptable standards of patient care. Identifies problems and guides personnel to their solution. Creates a working climate that provides growth and job satisfaction of personnel. Accurately and promptly implements physicians' orders. Administers medications and intravenous solutions skillfully and correctly. Sets up and monitors medical equipment such as cardiac monitors, mechanical ventilators alarms, oxygen delivery, transducers, and pressure lines. Requirements

Graduate of an accredited program in nursing.
Active State of Ohio Registered Nurse Nursing License.
CPR - approved by the American Heart Association.
ACLS - approved by the American Heart Association (must obtain within 6 months of hire)
Basic computer skills.

Physical dexterity and psychomotor skills to respond adequately and appropriately to routine and emergency patient care needs in an ambulatory setting.
Visual and auditory capabilities sufficient to read information and respond to patient care needs.
Ability to work in a computerized environment that includes prolonged sitting and use of keyboard, mouse, and monitor.
Cognitive ability to accurately observe, analyze, and interpret general and technical data both verbal and written to accurately communicate this information.
