This position is primarily focused on supporting a student with congenital myasthenic syndrome, a condition that can cause muscle weakness and may affect breathing, eating, and physical activity. The student is stable and independent, with the RN’s role focused primarily on monitoring and supporting the student throughout the school day, particularly around eating, drinking, and activity. The role also includes a few routine medication passes. During periods when the student does not require direct nursing support, the RN will assist with appropriate health office and school nursing responsibilities. We’re looking for an RN who values consistency, communicates well, builds trust easily, and is comfortable independently monitoring a student while collaborating with school staff, family, and HealthBar’s clinical team. This role is a great fit for an RN who enjoys building strong relationships with students and providing individualized care in a school environment. It offers a predictable schedule and a lifestyle that leaves evenings, weekends, holidays, and summers open.
