About The Position
Liberty Point Behavioral Healthcare, located in the Shenandoah Valley in Staunton, Virginia, is a 42-bed facility providing trauma-informed psychiatric residential treatment to adolescent males with complex emotional, behavioral, and educational difficulties. They specialize in working with youth diagnosed with psychiatric disorders, co-occurring intellectual disabilities, and autism spectrum disorder. Requirements
- Current license to practice nursing in State of Virginia (or eligible to receive or renew)
- Current CPR or BLS certification preferred (can renew as part of New Employee Orientation)
- Must be at least 21 years of age at time of hire
- Ability to successfully complete and pass all components of Handle With Care & Verbal De-escalation Crisis Intervention Training
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent care, comfort, and security to patients and their families.
- Use and supervise Handle With Care (HWC) techniques.
- Reflect behavior, attitude, and appearance appropriate to the position.
- Be supportive of the facility and division philosophy, goals, and objectives.
- Effectively communicate both verbally and via written documentation.
