About The Position

We are seeking skilled, compassionate, and dependable Registered Nurses for PRN assignments at hospitals and healthcare facilities in Las Vegas, Nevada, and surrounding communities. Qualified RNs are recruited across multiple clinical specialties and considered based on their nursing experience, demonstrated competencies, current credentials, and ability to meet the requirements of their assigned units.

Available specialties include Neuro Stepdown/SDU, Medical-Surgical, Operating Room, Pediatric PACU, Progressive Care Unit, PICU, Pre-Op, Telemetry, OR General, OR Circulator, ICU, ED/ER, and Behavioral Health Services. Duties and requirements vary by specialty and assigned facility.

This PRN position offers shifts based on facility staffing requirements, patient census, unit needs, and confirmed availability. Shifts may include days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. PRN scheduling does not guarantee a specific number of hours or shifts. Nurses are expected to maintain reliable attendance, communicate availability, and fulfill accepted assignments. Nurses should be comfortable in fast-paced clinical environments, adapting to changing patient needs, following facility-specific protocols, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

They demonstrate sound clinical judgment, effective communication, accurate documentation, and the ability to respond appropriately to changing patient conditions. Requirements

• Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid for practice in Nevada, or other legally accepted authorization to practice in Nevada.
• Nursing education that meets applicable licensure requirements.
• Relevant clinical experience and demonstrated competency for the assigned specialty.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification as required by the facility.
• Strong clinical assessment, critical-thinking, communication, and documentation skills.
• Knowledge of medication safety, infection prevention, patient confidentiality, and facility protocols.
• Ability to recognize clinical deterioration and respond appropriately.
• Willingness to complete required onboarding, competency assessments, background checks, and credential verification.
• Ability to meet the essential functions of the position, with reasonable accommodation where applicable.
• Reliable transportation to assigned facilities in Las Vegas and surrounding areas.
• Reliable attendance and availability for accepted PRN shifts.
• For Neuro Stepdown/SDU, PCU, and Telemetry: relevant monitoring experience; ACLS certification when required.
• For Medical-Surgical: medical-surgical or acute care nursing experience.
• For OR General and OR Circulator: perioperative experience, sterile technique, and surgical safety knowledge.
• For Pediatric PACU: pediatric post-anesthesia recovery experience and PALS certification when required.
• For PICU: pediatric critical care experience and applicable pediatric life-support certifications.
• For Pre-Op: experience with preoperative assessment, patient preparation, and perioperative safety.
• For ICU: critical care nursing experience and ACLS certification when required.
• For ED/ER: emergency nursing experience and applicable emergency care certifications, as required by the facility.
• For BHS: behavioral health nursing experience and knowledge of therapeutic communication, de-escalation, and patient safety.
• Certification and experience requirements vary by specialty and facility. Applicable Nevada license requirements, credentials, and unit-specific competencies must be verified before placement.

Nice To Haves

• Previous PRN, float pool, travel nursing, or multi-facility experience.
• Specialty certifications such as CCRN, CEN, CNOR, PCCN, or other relevant credentials, where applicable.
• Familiarity with electronic health records and clinical documentation systems.
• Strong teamwork, adaptability, and professional communication skills.
• Availability for additional shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans.
• Monitor vital signs, symptoms, laboratory findings, and changes in clinical condition.
• Administer medications and treatments according to provider orders and facility policies.
• Recognize clinical deterioration and promptly escalate concerns.
• Perform nursing procedures within the RN scope of practice and demonstrated competency.
• Maintain accurate patient records and electronic health documentation.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment, recovery, medications, and discharge instructions.
• Follow infection prevention, medication safety, patient identification, and confidentiality standards.
• Participate in shift handoffs, care coordination, and transitions of care.
• Respond to emergencies and follow applicable rapid response and escalation procedures.
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and patient-centered care environment.
• Perform specialty-specific duties, which may include perioperative and surgical safety procedures; surgical preparation and recovery; acuity-appropriate critical care and monitoring; or emergency and behavioral health protocols.
