About The Position

Registered Nurse (RN) at CPG Clinics. This is a full-time, 1.0 FTE position with 10-hour shifts starting at 0730. The schedule is 4x10, Tuesday-Friday, with occasional Mondays. The primary responsibility is to assist physicians with patient care, including greeting, escorting, taking vitals, updating medical history and medications, patient education, preparing equipment and prescriptions, charting, and coordinating with other healthcare agencies. The role may also involve scribe functions, patient check-in, and answering phones. Requirements

• Current state RN license
• Associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school
• BLS for Healthcare Provider upon hire
• One (1) year of outpatient physician services (office nursing) experience

Responsibilities

• Greeting, escorting patients to exam rooms
• Taking vitals, height, weight, and medical histories
• Updating patient medications
• Developing and maintaining patient education materials
• Preparing patient equipment and medication prescriptions for the Physician
• Phoning in prescription refills with Physician’s approval
• Charting
• Preparing informed consent forms for invasive procedures
• Calling physician orders to other health provider agencies (home health, nursing home, therapists)
• Securing x-ray films and preparing labs for the doctors
• Ordering clinical supplies
• Cleaning exam rooms
• Maintaining instruments
• Removing outdated medications
• Administering vaccinations
• Filling in for scribe function
• Occasionally patient check-in and answering the phone
