Registered Nurse (RN) - 36 hours per week - Night Shift - Behavioral Health - Crisis Unit - Union Cecil County
About The Position
ChristianaCare, a healthcare organization with 1100 beds between two Magnet® recognized hospitals (Christiana and Wilmington) and the only Level 1 Trauma service on the East Coast corridor between Philadelphia and Baltimore, is seeking a Registered Nurse for their Behavioral Health Nursing team at Union Hospital. This position involves working 36 hours per week on the night shift during the week, with rotation to day shifts on weekends. Weekends and Holidays are scheduled per department guidelines. The role requires Behavioral Health (Psych) nursing experience in an Inpatient or Outpatient setting. Knowledge of Crisis Area is strongly preferred. Candidates with strong Medical Surgical experience and a proven passion for this area will also be considered.
Requirements
- Current Maryland RN license or eligibility for Maryland RN license
- BLS required
- Two years med/surg experience in an acute care setting
Nice To Haves
- BSN preferred
- Psychiatric Nursing experience is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge in Crisis a plus.
- Professional Certification in Psychiatric–Mental Health or Medical/Surgical preferred
Responsibilities
- Work 36 hours per week on the night shift during the week with rotation to day shifts on weekends.
