Registered Nurse (RN) - Psychiatry Clinic
About The Position
The purpose of this position is to provide nursing care to our Psychiatry patients. The RN has contact with patients, patient families and visitors, hospital employees, referral agencies, volunteers, administration, and physicians. Effective interpersonal and communication skills are essential for this position. The Registered Nurse (RN) must be able to supervise others as assigned including LPN’s, nursing assistants, clerks, and students. The RN has contact with patients, patient families and visitors, PRHHS employees, referral agencies, volunteers, administration, and physicians. Effective interpersonal and communication skills are essential for this position. The RN must be able to provide patient care, secure cooperation from others, problem-solve, and exercise initiative and judgment. Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to perform within the registered nurse scope of practice.
- Current Healthcare Provider-level CPR certification upon hire or must be obtained within six months.
- Successful completion of the pre-employment health screening.
- Reliable attendance and ability to work at the clinic site as scheduled, including travel to other clinic sites.
- Current Minnesota RN Licensure
- CPR Certificate
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.

Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to Psychiatry patients.
- Supervise others as assigned including LPN’s, nursing assistants, clerks, and students.
- Provide patient care, secure cooperation from others, problem-solve, and exercise initiative and judgment.
- Delegate and supervise nursing care consistent with professional standards and the scope of practice as defined by the Minnesota Board of Nursing.
