About The Position

Minden Medical Center is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse - RN for the night shift (7p-7a) in Minden to deliver safe, high-quality care. The role involves assessing patient status, administering medications and treatments, developing care plans, educating patients and families, and collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety. The night shift includes receiving focused handoffs, prioritizing tasks, managing workload through varying acuity levels, staying organized, communicating with patients and families, collaborating with providers and peers, documenting thoroughly, and preparing for morning transitions. A smooth and detailed report to the next team is also expected.

Requirements

• Current RN licensure with the Louisiana State Board of Nursing
• CPR required
• NRP within 8 weeks of hire

Nice To Haves

• 1 year Nursery/NICU/L&D preferred
• Fetal Heart Monitoring preferred
• Willingness to train and float between labor unit, post-partum/GYN floor, and nursery
