About The Position

The Registered Nurse is experienced in nursing, with an emphasis on community health education and experience. The RN plans, organizes, and directs home care services, drawing on community resources to plan and direct care that meets the needs of individuals and families in their homes and communities. The role is full-time home health and includes wound care and per-visit work. The coverage area includes areas surrounding Leander and Cedar Park. Compensation depends on experience.

Requirements

• Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse license to practice professional nursing in the state of employment.
• One to two years of recent acute care experience in an institutional setting.
• Valid CPR certification obtained in person, with a practical skills evaluation as part of the final test.
• Excellent observation, verbal and written communication, problem-solving, and basic math skills; nursing skills per competency checklist.
• Access to reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• One year of home health care experience.
• Direct supervisory experience of Licensed Vocational Nurses and Nurse Aides/Assistants.
• Working knowledge of OASIS documentation requirements.
