The primary responsibility of this Registered Nurse (RN) position is to supervise the day-to-day nursing activities of the facility during their tour of duty. This supervision must be in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern the facility and may be required by the Director of Nursing (DON) and/or Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) when applicable, to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times. The role involves administrative, committee, personnel, nursing care, staff development, safety and sanitation, equipment and supply, care plan and assessment, budget and planning functions, as well as supervisory requirements. The RN is delegated the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary for carrying out assigned duties.
