About The Position

This full-time Registered Nurse (RN) position is with Atrium Carolina Neurosurgery & Spine Associates in Charlotte, within the Neurosurgery department. The role operates Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 4:30 PM, with a hybrid work option available after training and meeting performance expectations. The RN will provide clinical support, including shunt reprogramming and wound assessments (suture and staple removal), ensuring timely and accurate evaluation of patient concerns to contribute to high-quality neurosurgical care. The position involves providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process, delivering safe, therapeutic care according to established standards, policies, and procedures. The nurse will utilize evidence-based practice, clinical decision-making, compassion, and communication skills to foster a safe patient environment and optimal patient experience. Carolina Neurosurgery & Spine Associates, established in 1940, offers extensive brain and spine care, including adult and pediatric neurosurgery, spine surgery, physiatry, and physical therapy. Their Charlotte office is equipped with on-site CT, MRI, and X-ray services, and performs epidural steroid injections. Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
  • Current certification in BLS

Nice To Haves

  • Neurosurgical and wound-care experience preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience preferred
  • Prior triage experience preferred
  • BSN preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical support through shunt reprogramming and wound assessments, including the removal of sutures and staples
