About The Position

Requirements

Credentials verifying appropriate certificate and license in New York State- RN.
Current State license/Certificate required.
Ability to communicate well verbally and in writing required.
Qualities of maturity, diplomacy, and ability to work well with others required.
Caring, respectful attitude toward residents required.
Physical stamina for constant activity required.
Ability to perform tasks to established standards of excellence required.

Regular interaction with residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors.

Responsibilities

Assist in ensuring the general health and well-being of residents by providing direct nursing care.
Plan, develop, organize, implement, assess, and evaluate resident care to maintain the highest degree of quality care and regulatory compliance.
Screen prospective residents for placement within the Elderwood organization.
Serve as the first point of contact for families and referral sources, helping them navigate care options and ensuring appropriate evaluation for services.
Support census growth, timely admissions, and a smooth transition process for new residents.
Bring a well-rounded understanding of Elderwood’s services, staffing, routines, and clinical operations.
