About The Position

Registered nurses (RNs) work closely with supervising physicians to assess and monitor residents needs, ensure treatment and care are conducted according to the facility’s procedures, administer medications, and perform other related tasks. Hibbard Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center has offered quality care to the elderly in Dover-Foxcroft, Maine and surrounding area communities. Since 1972, we have been in our modern 93-bed facility on the Guilford Road in Dover-Foxcroft, and have been providing the utmost in quality care services since. Requirements

  • AS or BS degree in nursing
  • Must be currently registered/licensed in Maine.
  • Must have CPR certification upon hire or obtained during orientation. CPR certification must remain current during employment.
  • Knowledge and use of Electronic Medical Records and/or solid computer skills
  • Strong communication skills, both in writing and verbally
  • Effective leadership skills and/or ability to invest in growing this skill
  • Read, write, speak, and understand the English language

Responsibilities

  • Cares for residents
  • Exhibits strong clinical skills
  • Demonstrates excellent bedside manner
  • Records a resident’s medical history, symptoms, and vitals.
  • Updates resident charts and electronic medical records (EMR).
  • Administers medication and other doctor-recommended treatment plans.
  • Complies with federal, state, and local nursing regulations, standards, and policies.
  • Collaborates with nurses, doctors, and administrators.
